Book Donations & Sales
The Library hosts book sales in our cafe area year-round.
What can I donate?
We accept donations of the following items:
- Books
- DVDs
- CDs
- Audiobook CDs
We do not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, or cassettes.
How can I donate?
You can drop off donation material at the library anytime during hours of operation.
If you have a large donation, please call us in advance at 815-933-1727.
When are donations accepted?
We accept donations year-round as space allows. Updates on donation acceptance will be shared here and on our social media.
What happens with my donations?
Donations are sorted by staff and largely used to stock our year-round cart sales. Severely damaged books will be properly disposed of.
Proceeds from all sales go toward library services.
When is the Library's book sale?
